What changed for Twin Disc Inc today
Twin Disc Inc. is the 110-year-old quiet giant that keeps America’s sugar mills, Coast Guard cutters and industrial presses turning by way of heavy-duty gears and drive systems. The company’s latest SEC filing shows the business owns $160.3 million of inventory-more than the $185.7 million shareholders’ equity-while generating only $2.3 million in operating cash during the nine months to 27 March 2026. The same 10-Q admits the numbers are unaudited and subject to adjustment, which is finance for “we may have overcounted the sprockets.”
The glossy “precision motion solutions” slide deck obscures a grinding cash reality: capital spending was $10.3 million in the quarter while free cash flow went negative. Inventories rose another $9.7 million, effectively borrowing from suppliers to fund operations. Net income for the period was a modest $3.3 million, with diluted EPS of 23 cents on 14.4 million shares outstanding.
According to the 10-Q filed 6 May 2026, the company earned $96.7 million of revenue over the nine months to 27 March, with operating income of $5.8 million, assets of $391.0 million and liabilities of $204.5 million. Research and development expense was $2.7 million in the year to 30 June 2025, while payments to acquire property, plant and equipment totalled $10.3 million in the nine-month window. The same 8-K that elected new directors also cautions that “certain factors” could cause future results to differ materially-corporate code for “watch this space.”
For investors who like to trace the mechanism, the issuer’s SEC submissions JSON lists routine filings such as 8-Ks, 10-Qs and a Schedule 13G, while the companyfacts JSON shows the official XBRL-tagged line items behind the headline numbers. The renderer can surface the 10-Q line-item table, the 13G ownership snapshot and the companyfacts XBRL viewer directly from the supplied SEC rails.
What we do not have are audited figures, segment-level detail for Q4 2025/Q1 2026, or any updated guidance beyond the boilerplate caveats. The next catalyst is the Q4 2026 10-Q due in early August; absent surprises, the file will likely repeat the same unaudited caution and inventory build.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
