What changed for Dynatrace, Inc. today
Dynatrace, Inc. just filed its 2026 annual report showing $2.02 billion in subscription revenue, $162.7 million in net income, and $561.9 million in operating cash flow for the year to 31 March 2026. The balance sheet is solid: $4.42 billion in assets, $1.80 billion in liabilities, $2.61 billion in shareholders’ equity, and $1.10 billion in cash and equivalents. All nice, all real-and all disclosed in the same filing that also hawks “AI Observability” as the next big thing.
What Dynatrace actually sells is a monitoring and observability platform wrapped in SaaS subscriptions. Customers run it on premises or in the cloud, and Dynatrace recognises revenue ratably over the contract term. The product pages now include AI Observability for LLMs and coding agents, but the revenue engine still turns on ratable SaaS contracts. The gap between the marketing slide and the accounting footnote is the point of the whole company.
The 10-K shows $2.02 billion in revenue from contracts with customers, $245.4 million in operating income, $162.7 million in net income, and diluted EPS of $0.54 on 303.7 million shares. R&D clocked $474.3 million, while capex was $32.2 million. The board’s DEF 14A, filed 10 July 2026, offers the usual governance boilerplate and reminds readers that the company’s trademarks, not AI pixie dust, are what the market actually owns. (source: SEC EDGAR 10-K, https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1773383/000177338326000019/dt-20260331.htm)
Dynatrace’s customer stories stress resilience and unification, from ADT’s security systems to unnamed clients touting daily platform use. The product rail pushes AI Observability for LLMs and coding agents, but the evidence trail points to ratable SaaS subscriptions as the cash engine. The tension between the polished platform story and the filing numbers is the living document of this business.
For a deeper look at the platform claims, see the AI Observability page and the ADT case study; for the real mechanics, read the 10-K and DEF 14A. Neither shows a company that has pivoted from SaaS subscriptions to AI miracles. Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
