WRAP TECHNOLOGIES, INC. does not become simple just because WRAP looks tidy. Wrap Technologies Inc. opened 2026 selling BolaWrap devices, VR training simulators, and body-worn camera subscriptions while reporting a first-quarter net loss of $4.5 million on $1.1 million of revenue, a margin so thin you can slide a BolaWrap cassette under it. The market can compress a company into four letters, but the real story still has departments, customers, product choices, capital needs, margins, competitors, and the occasional executive sentence trying to sound heavier than it is (source: public profile, https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1702924/000149315226033073/form8-k.htm).

Operating cash flow was negative $1.2 million, capex was a rounding error at $5,000, and R&D clocked in at $105,000, numbers that suggest the company is still in the prototype phase even as it talks up an “integrated Non-Lethal Response™ system.”

The company’s official site sells a vision of law-enforcement agencies deploying WrapVision cameras, WrapTactics subscriptions, and WrapShield autonomous platforms as a single operational stack, but the 10-Q for the quarter ending March 31 shows assets of $16.7 million-including $7.3 million in cash-offset by $2.3 million of liabilities, leaving $14.4 million of equity on the books. Inventory rose to $4.6 million, a bright-yellow reminder that the supply chain is alive even when the sales ledger is on life support.

Wrap’s May 13 press release touted “$2.1 million from international sales,” yet the first-quarter revenue figure of $1.1 million tells a different story: international orders are not yet the engine the pitch decks claim. The same release positioned BolaWrap, Wrap Reality, and DFR-X as an integrated capability, but the filings make clear that customers still buy discrete products and services rather than a unified platform. The July 7 press release announcing WrapShield casually notes that outcomes depend on “future products and technologies,” a disclosure lawyers insist on and investors read as a polite way of saying “not shipping yet.”

The SEC filings show the company’s diluted EPS at negative $0.09 on 54 million shares outstanding, a maths problem that has not stopped the board from filing updated ownership disclosures. The 13G/A shows one institutional holder at 6.4%, which is material only if the rest of the register can be convinced to buy the next round. The company’s product story-BolaWrap devices, cassettes, accessories, WrapTactics subscriptions, Wrap Reality VR, and WrapVision cameras-is real, but the revenue bridge between demo days and deposit slips is still a yellow line on a spreadsheet.

The renderer will display Wrap’s product images alongside these words; treat the images as evidence of what the company sells, not proof that customers are buying at scale. The balance sheet shows the company can fund its runway for now, but the gap between platform vapour and cash collection yawns wider every quarter.

If you want to see where the platform story meets the ledger, watch the next 10-Q: a quarter of product revenue north of $2 million with positive operating cash flow would narrow the gap. Anything less keeps the story firmly in vapourware territory.

Methodology

This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
