What changed for Soco Corporation Ltd today
Sable Offshore Corp. lost $197 million in the first quarter of 2026, according to its own 10-Q filed on 13 July 2026, a number so concrete it is hard to dress up as “challenging execution.” The quarterly filing shows revenue of $1.3 million, a figure that would not cover a single workover rig day-rate in the Gulf of Mexico. Cash at 31 March 2026 stood at $52.2 million, while liabilities had ballooned to $1.31 billion, leaving shareholders’ equity at $421.9 million on paper but evaporating fast in practice. Net cash used in operating activities for the quarter was another $82.2 million, a pace that turns the balance sheet into confetti if continued.
The platforms themselves are real steel sentinels five to nine miles offshore of Santa Barbara County, bobbing in 900-1,200 feet of water and tethered to 112 wells-90 producers, 12 injectors and 10 idle-with an additional 102 undrilled locations on the books. The company’s Pacific Offshore Pipeline Company gas plant can handle 80 MMcf/d, sweetening gas, recovering sulfur, fractionating natural gas liquids and compressing gas before it hits the Santa Ynez Pipeline System. The only trouble is that the pipeline is delayed, which is why Sable filed a revised Development and Production Plan with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management on 9 October 2025 and is now hunting for alternative export options. The website still beams a 2020-era rig silhouette against a sunset, a visual cue that lags the 10-Q by roughly six years.
Filings from 2 July 2026 show a shelf prospectus for common stock, a second shelf for convertible notes, and a 305B2 form that locks the association’s business scope and share transfers behind the Comptroller of the Currency’s approval. All voting shares must vote as one class unless the articles say otherwise, a governance detail that feels less like a modern energy company and more like a 19th-century railway trust. The convertible notes sit alongside a prospectus that could fund anything from well workovers to a CEO’s yacht fund, given the regulator’s broad discretion. Cash is falling faster than a Christmas tree in a winter storm, and the board’s only publicly stated constraint is that it cannot grow without federal permission.
There is The source-change rail is filing/source-led and does not use chart-derived signals. Chart context is available separately on this page through the Atlas chart snapshot or TradingView route where available. Instead, the mechanism that matters is the interplay between Sable’s ageing platforms, its 80 MMcf/d gas plant, and the Santa Ynez Pipeline System delays documented in BOEM filings. Until export capacity materialises or the company secures alternative routes, the cash burn continues and the balance sheet keeps shrinking. The source rail cannot provide forward-looking guidance or analyst estimates, so the tension is simple: cash runway versus pipeline reality.
What the evidence does not tell us is how long the cash runway lasts, what the board’s contingency plans are, or whether the BOEM will approve any relief on export capacity. The 10-Q ends on 31 March 2026, and the next 10-Q will be due in early November 2026; if the export bottleneck persists, the company’s next filing will either show a miraculous pivot or a liquidity crunch. Until then, the market can only watch the filings and the regulators, not the share price.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
