What changed for Planet Labs PBC today
Planet Labs PBC enters today’s file through SEC filing trail, not rumour. The latest supplied financial rail is the 10-Q for the period ending 2026-04-30, with $94.2M of revenue, $368.1M of cash and cash equivalents, and a net loss attributable to parent of $138.9M. That is the useful shape of the story: a real data business, a real cash pile, and a loss line large enough to stop the satellite romance floating away.
The company describes itself in the 10-Q as founded to design, construct and launch constellations of satellites with the intent of providing high cadence geospatial data delivered to customers through an online platform. That matters because Planet is not just selling a ticker narrative about space. The product rail is imagery, data delivery, software, analytics and customer usage, with the same filing naming investment in sales and marketing, software platform development, machine learning, artificial intelligence and analytic tools, applications and new satellite technologies.
The filed numbers make the operating tension plain. For the 10-Q period ending 2026-04-30, operating income loss was $34.9M, diluted EPS was $-0.40, assets were $1.25B, liabilities were $807.7M, and stockholders' equity attributable to parent was $443.7M. Net cash provided by operating activities was $15.4M, while payments to acquire property, plant and equipment were $17.3M. Research and development expense was $33.4M. Inventory was $9.3M, with an increase in inventories of $731,000.
The source-change rail is filing/source-led and does not use chart-derived signals. Chart context is available separately on this page through the Atlas chart snapshot or TradingView route where available. The current market mechanism is filing based: the SEC EDGAR index, submissions JSON and companyfacts JSON define the official source rail, while July Form 4 and Form 144 entries show recent equity filing trail. The 2026-07-14 Form 4 includes Rule 10b5-1 plan language and says sales were executed in multiple trades at prices ranging from $25.69 to $26.89. A 2026-07-13 Form 4 also includes Rule 10b5-1 plan language and cites a multiple-trade range from $25.33 to $27.17.
The 2026-06-05 8-K adds another capital-market fact: Planet disclosed an at-the-market structure covering shares of common stock with aggregate offering price of up to $1.5B through or to sales agents, or through forward sale agreements with forward purchasers. That does not say the company has used the full capacity. It does say future equity supply is an official part of the file, and it belongs beside the cash balance, loss line and capital spending rather than in a detached footnote.
What remains unproved on this rail is just as important. There is no supplied current share chart, no fresh customer win beyond the filings, no guidance table, no segment breakdown and no independent product release. The official evidence does show customer concentration, with two customers accounting for 15% and 11% of revenue in the three months ended 2026-04-30. A deeper next file would need new official operating metrics, updated customer concentration, or another parsed filing rather than market colour imported from outside the rail.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
