What changed for JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. today
JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. swung to a $76.8 million net loss in the quarter to 28 March 2026 while revenue fell 6.9% to $722.1 million, according to the freshly filed 10-Q. North America, which accounts for the bulk of the group’s sales, saw net revenues drop 14.7% to $452.7 million, a decline the company attributes to a 10% fall in volume and mix. The slide is sharp enough to make you wonder whether the “housing recovery” slide deck needs a rewrite.
JELD-WEN designs, manufactures and distributes interior and exterior building products-doors, windows, and cabinets-sold to homebuilders, retailers and commercial contractors across North America and Europe. The group operates 76 manufacturing sites and 163 distribution centres, so the inventory build-up of $4.7 million to $446.2 million is not a rounding error; it is a logistical reality that competes with the sales force’s just-in-time promises. The company’s warranty accrual rose by $4.9 million in the quarter, evidence that quality issues, whether real or perceived, are not confined to the marketing brochures.
On the cash front, JELD-WEN burned $91.2 million of operating cash in the quarter while holding $50.4 million of cash and equivalents. Capex clocked in at $25.1 million, which is either maintenance of a global footprint or a way of buying time. Diluted EPS landed at minus $0.90 on 85.8 million shares, a headline that sits awkwardly next to any narrative about disciplined capital management. Stockholders’ equity now stands at $12.2 million against total liabilities of $2.07 billion-numbers that do not coexist without tension.
There is a live SEC filing page to consult: the 10-Q for the quarter ended 28 March 2026, which carries the revenue, profit, cash and inventory data used above. The company’s official news rail also published the quarterly release that summarises the segment and volume commentary, confirming that North America is the epicentre of the slowdown. TradingView users can follow the equity under ticker JELD (NYSE) or via the regional listing; neither chart, however, will tell you why the doors are piling up faster than the orders.
What changed this week is not a new product launch or a strategic pivot, but another tranche of insider filings that show executives buying or selling into the same headline that features a negative EPS. On 8 July 2026, a Schedule 13G/A update showed beneficial ownership crossing the 5% mark, while Form 4 filings on 2, 6 and 9 July show directors and officers transacting in small lots. These are not blockbuster purchases; they are the capital-markets equivalent of rearranging deck chairs on a vessel that is already taking water. The 144 filings on 2 July add further colour without changing the arithmetic.
What remains unproven is whether the volume and mix decline is cyclical or structural-whether it will snap back when mortgage rates ease or whether the entire channel is rationalising inventory. The evidence that would settle the question would be a sequential uptick in same-facility orders, a reduction in inventory days, or a sustained improvement in North America net revenues. Until then, the polished story of global scale is meeting the plain reality of a balance sheet that is closer to break-even than to break-out.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
