Gogo's balance sheet looks like a business-class passenger who ordered the full truffle menu and then quietly slipped the caviar into their duty-free bag: it ended the quarter with $13.1 million of net income on $226.3 million of revenue, which is the kind of profit margin that would make a hotel concierge weep into their espresso if only the cash flow weren't so cramped. The cash used in operations clocked in at a negative $7.2 million, a polite way of saying the company spent more on coffee pods in the management desks than it collected from 30,000 airborne laptops clicking through the cabin at 35,000 feet. Between the $103.5 million cash pile and the $118 million of shareholders' equity, the balance sheet is technically solvent, but the phrase...

Open full report
GOGO daily contextvalidated public digest14 source rail2026-08-07 02:40 UTC

Gogo’s latest quarter offers a masterclass in how to turn ‘global connectivity platform’ into ‘cash-flow crunch’: the company reported $226.3 million of revenue in the three months to March 31, 2026, but still managed to post just $13.1 million of net income while burning $7.2 million of operating cash, the sort of arithmetic that has trainee pilots practising emergency landings in their heads. The balance sheet remains solvent on paper-$118 million of shareholders’ equity and $103.5 million of cash-yet the phrase ‘technically solvent’ is precisely what you whisper when the cabin crew is still selling duty-free perfume while the galley ovens flicker like an old CRT.

The glossy product pages promise ‘seamless global inflight connectivity’ via multi-orbit networks that allegedly switch towers in real time, a claim that sounds elegant until you note the remaining performance obligations are booked as revenue only when passengers actually stream the in-flight movie, not when the satellite finally decides to cooperate. Roughly $512 million of the RPO is connectivity and entertainment services recognised as services are provided, while the remaining $10 million is expected equipment revenue to be recognised over the next three years-timing that feels optimistic if your nearest ground station is a cell tower in Wyoming and the pilot forgot to file the flight plan. The company’s inventory balance sits at $101.8 million, mostly spares for the ATG network, because nothing burns cash like stocking 5G modems for aircraft that may arrive in 2028.

Filings show $31.7 million of operating income on $226.3 million of revenue, with R&D at $6.5 million and capex at $25.7 million, a split that suggests the R&D budget is roughly one month’s inventory build and the capex line is mostly ‘we finally bought the 5G boxes we promised in the brochure.’ Deferred revenue totalled $73 million ($37 million current, $36 million non-current), a figure that implies airlines are pre-paying for future Wi-Fi minutes even as the cash account gently deflates. Weighted average diluted shares rose to 136.8 million, up about 1.2 million on the prior quarter, polite math for ‘we issued more paper to keep the lights on.’

For the chartists, Gogo trades on the OTCQB under the same ticker, where the last visible print sits roughly where it started the year, with volume so thin that a single block trade can tilt the tape like a stewardess balancing a tray of martinis. The filings don’t parse daily price moves, so any chart commentary is strictly mechanical and must be treated as directional, not predictive. Methodology

This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
