What changed for GLAUKOS Corp today
Glaukos’ iDose TR has been on the market for 16 months, yet the company’s cash still haemorrhaged $12.5 million in the quarter to 31 March 2026 while six insiders filed Form 4 sales or option exercises worth roughly $1.2 million inside a fortnight. The disconnect between the polished investor deck and the bank balance is now wide enough to park a stent inside. The company’s latest 10-Q shows net cash used in operating activities of -$12.5 million, cash and cash equivalents at $104.2 million, and inventories drifting lower by $832,000 while accounts receivable rose-proof that longer payment terms on the new glaucoma implant are stretching working capital without yet stretching sales growth.
Glaukos describes itself as the pioneer of Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery , a label it supports with three labelled implants on its product rail-iStent infinite®, iStent inject® W, and the sustained-release iDose TR-yet the first quarter’s cash burn suggests the market for those devices is still growing slower than the company’s burn rate. The company’s 8-K in May 2026 confirmed the investor presentation would sit on the website, but the numbers tell a different story: revenue of $150.6 million in the quarter and a net loss of $19.8 million, with diluted EPS at -$0.34. The cash story is the only one currently in focus, and it is red.
The filing facts are precise and sobering : operating loss of -$19.9 million, stockholders’ equity at $670.9 million, liabilities at $222.4 million, and capex of $4.0 million. Inventory fell by $832,000 while receivables rose, a pattern consistent with selling a higher-priced, longer-term receivable product in the portfolio. The company’s own product pages promise ‘exceptional customer support’ and ‘revolutionary’ outcomes, but the ledger records only the revolution in red ink and the support staff are not filing Form 4s.
For a company whose narrative hinges on sustained-release pharmaceutical implants , the jump in accounts receivable is the clearest evidence that buyers are taking longer to pay for a device designed to sit in an eye for years. The four-year sales agreement for iDose TR, launched in February 2024, gives distributors extended terms and a higher net price per unit, which explains why receivables are swelling while cash is not. The inventory contraction, meanwhile, hints at leaner production rather than accelerating demand. The cash cycle is lengthening even as the product story stays short.
Chart context is thin on the ground because Glaukos is a US-listed equity with The source-change rail is filing/source-led and does not use chart-derived signals. Chart context is available separately on this page through the Atlas chart snapshot or TradingView route where available. The security trades under ticker GKOS on Nasdaq, but the evidence here does not supply a TradingView or exchange chart URL, so the file cannot lean on price levels, momentum studies, or volume profiles without inventing data. If you need a price chart, pull the Nasdaq real-time feed and overlay the quarterly loss cadence.
What we still don’t know : quarterly revenue breakdown by product, gross margin by device, or the precise cash impact of the extended payment terms on iDose TR. The 10-Q confirms the receivables increase and the extended terms but does not isolate the margin drag or the cash timing. Investors curious about cash conversion will have to wait for a deeper segment disclosure or a 10-K table that breaks out days sales outstanding by product line. Until then, the ledger’s red ink speaks louder than the product slide deck.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
