What changed for CXApp Inc. today
CXApp Inc. started July with its March quarter 10-Q in the public bin, revealing a business that collects revenue in the low six figures while haemorrhaging operating losses deeper into the red. Revenue clocked $950,000, net loss attributable to parent totalled $4.0 million, and operating income came in at minus $4.1 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2026. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $12.3 million, barely enough to cover two more quarters of burn at the current rate, while liabilities sat at $17.0 million against $15.9 million of shareholders’ equity. Net cash used in operating activities was $2.2 million, a figure that would look healthier if it were accompanied by a matching profit line.
What CXApp actually sells is a workplace app platform branded as “The Workplace SuperApp,” a single-screen portal meant to unite the digital tools that employees already hate using. The company claims Gartner Visionary status, 98% subscription revenue and 83% gross margins on the back of a $5 million enterprise contract haul in calendar Q1 2026. It also touts the EngineRoom acquisition as a lever to push annualised revenue past $12 million and add roughly $1.6 million of adjusted EBITDA, yet the cash runway still looks like a short stroll toward the cliff unless growth accelerates dramatically. The marketing site glows with stock images of smiling colleagues, but the SEC filings contain no proof that the platform actually improves anyone’s working life.
Filings show $1.5 million of R&D spend in the quarter, $5,000 of capex, and total assets of $33.0 million versus $17.0 million of liabilities, leaving equity at $15.9 million. The company’s cash outflow remains materially negative, and the board has already secured shareholder approval for a private placement that could flood the float with more than 20% new shares-an optics move that feels less like capital discipline and more like a strategic dilution play. Shareholder concentration has jumped after a 13G filing on 2 July 2026 disclosed a 12% stake, a disclosure that arrived fashionably late and underlines the opacity of the register. The EngineRoom deal is the only named acquisition in the evidence pack, and it is positioned as a revenue lever, yet the company’s own cash burn suggests the lever is currently jammed in reverse.
For context on the platform itself, visit the official “Employee Experience Platform for the Digital Workplace” page and judge for yourself whether the marketing copy outshines the financials. The page promises digital transformation without ever explaining how the cash runway will survive the trip. The acquisition announcement promises to lift annualised revenue past $12 million, but the March quarter 10-Q shows no evidence that such revenue has yet arrived in the bank. The company’s investor relations rail lists upcoming results dates, including the Q2 2026 update scheduled for release in August 2026, which will be the next chance to see whether the EngineRoom acquisition is translating into tangible cash flow or merely into more shareholder dilution.
What we still cannot see are segment-level breakouts, free cash flow, EPS, or any credible guidance that anchors the growth story to a concrete cash date. The evidence does not include any chart route, so we cannot map price action to fundamentals. Until the next filing lands, the operating tension remains simple: can a low-revenue, high-burn business with a permissioned private-placement gun in its holster credibly pivot to cash generative growth before the $12.3 million cash cushion evaporates?
Evidence that would materially change the file would include a sequential uptick in revenue large enough to cover cash burn, a signed 8-K detailing concrete cash receipts from EngineRoom, or a board decision to shelve the dilution mandate in favour of organic capital discipline. Without one of those, the SuperApp remains a marketing triumph and a cash-burn reality show.

Methodology
This profile is generated daily from public sources including SEC EDGAR (US-listed companies), NASDAQ Trader files, exchange listings, public macro/central-bank releases, CoinGecko crypto market files where relevant, and the TradingView global symbol catalog. Multi-model AI may assist drafting and review where configured, but sources remain the evidence rail; the chart is an Atlas static OHLC rail with a live TradingView link when verified bars are available; otherwise the page keeps the verified TradingView route as an explicit fallback.
